Measuring height and weight of children in Reception and Year 6

The height and weight of all children in England in Reception and Year 6 is measured each year as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). In Lincolnshire this is done by the Children's Health Service 0-19 (which has recently become part of Lincolnshire County Council).

Our Reception and Year 6 children are due to be seen today by healthcare professionals.

Please note children will be measured unless instructions have been received by parents for their child to opt out. Children will not be made to take part if they do not want to.

Life Long Ago Workshop and Dinosaur Visit

The first dinosaurs appeared around 230 million years ago and these huge, ancient reptiles ruled the earth for 160 million years.

Education Group's Life Long Ago Workshop will bring prehistoric life to Thurlby School, taking our children back millions of years to discover the wonder of the dinosaurs.

We are also eagerly awaiting a visit from Sophie, a 7 year old animatronic T-Rex.
